That tells you almost everything you need to know.. The folks who are really in charge were determined to get Starmer into Downing Street, but he is a greasy creep that nobody likes. They've been scoping the voters for at least 2 years to see whether it was worth calling an early election, and they backed off, because he was unelectable. So, because it is almost time for it all to hit the fan, they had to call an election now. And so we got Plan B. And Plan B, was mostly to divide the Tory vote, plus pull in a few of the non-Tory-voting folks who could see what is really going on but are still pretty gullible, by saying all the stuff nobody else will - and it worked perfectly. The vast majority of seats that went from Tory to Labour would not have changed hands if Reform did not exist. If you add the Reform votes to the Tory votes, in most of those seats, the Tories would have won. IMO they have Starmer set up as their scapegoat for whatever they have planned next. And, I suspect that their Tory playthings likely will now be held in 'blameless' reserve, ready to 'rescue' us all from the evil Labour Party, after the dust has settled..
