I'm having similar sign in issues with X. Also, why does Chrome send me to MSNBC as my home page? I've tried to change this, using duckduckgo as my default search engine, but I can't defeat the MSNBC default!
- I want to use the operating system Linux instead of Microsoft. My friend said it solved all his computer problems. However, I am not techie and rely quite often to the Geek Squad, a tech support and repair service operated by Best Buy. They rescue me on my Microsoft operating system for $20/month. They don't help on Linux. Does someone knows a company like the Geek Squad that rescue people on Linux at an affordable price? I would happily switch to Linux.
Apropo of the new requirements from the USA for "superannuation" ... AKA: USA Social Security:
"There’s still time to transition your Social Security account so you can continue to access our online services. When you sign in to your personal my Social Security account using your username and password, you’re now required to have an account with Login.gov or ID.me.
"This mandatory change simplifies your sign-in experience and aligns with federal authentication standards while providing you safe and secure access to our online services.
"Before you begin the transition to Login.gov, you can watch our online video for instructions. To transition your account:
"Select the “Sign in” button at the top right of our homepage, www.ssa.gov.
Enter your Social Security username and password and select the “Sign in” button.
Select “yes” if your phone number or email address are valid or follow the instructions.
Enter the security code you get by text or email and select the “Submit security code” button.
Follow the prompts to create your Login.gov account.
You can immediately start using your Login.gov account to access Social Security online services. Your old username will no longer be available. We encourage you to verify that the information we have in our records is correct."
Yes...VERY ironic that I also have had to move to Yandex and the Brave Browser... Linux by the way is NOT hard. Download a good distro like MX23...burn it to a CD or use Rufus (thats the name) and use a blank USB drive bootable. Reboot PC and you are now using Linux to try it out and make sure your hardware is supported. ..
I think under attack.
I think so too,
Have you either a physical back up or cloud one aside from Substack or other forums? Data erasure not uncommon tool to silence.

I’d have thought if chrome was doing it it would choose google as home page…
- Did you tried Yandex browser?

Try the Brave browser
I've gone several stages better. I use Yandex AS WELL AS Brave. The only one that doesn't censor is the Russian Yandex. Ironic.
