In the memoir, Spencer reveals that he was sent away to Maidwell Hall in Northhampton at the age of eight, writing that he soon experienced both verbal abuse and “brutal beatings” at the hand of school officials. He also writes openly about being groomed by a female staff member, which led to alleged sexual abuse. https://www.google.com/search?q=Lord+Spencer+talks+about+abuse&oq=Lord+Spencer+talks+about+abuse&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQLhhA0gEJMTc4MTVqMGoxqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:26aa29fc,vid:RehHZtNqGvQ,st:0

Spencer talked very openly and the book has many other testimonies from other ex-pupils. As we come to terms with the systematic abuse from our controllers some of us are going to break down or react. Who would want to be the princess in this family Cate or Diana , she is the mother and this is what her children are 'destined' for... its all opened to the public now.
