In Australia they’re less subtle, they are closing thousands of ATM’s , closing hundreds of banking branches to n country towns and suburbs. ANZ is about to layoff 3,500 workers. Westpac my bank wants facial recognition ( not getting mine). Marching on relentlessly. A friend of mine about 12 months ago went to open an account with ANZ and had a sizeable amount of cash to deposit. Despite it being a branch of the bank she was told that the tellers no longer accepted cash, and she would have to feed her cash 💰 not an ATM and wait 3 days for the deposit to clear. They also wanted to set her up with an Apple wallet. She declined.
