For saying - “A maximum of 38C a long way from 50C”

I was blocked within minutes

First point, the above graphic does not show temperatures anywhere near 50C.

Second, I checked the measured temperatures. The highest maximum temperature was 38C in Alice Springs (that’s in the desert, folks). It was 27C in Montivideo, Uraguay.

In inland Johannesberg it is about the same (in the mid-20’s)

Poor sensitive souls! They don’t like being even mildly challenged.

Meanwhile, we have this!

Whether it's eating less meat or cycling instead of driving, humans can do many things to help prevent climate change.

Unfortunately, breathing less isn't one of them. 

That might be a problem, as a new study claims the gases in air exhaled from human lungs is fueling global warming.

Methane and nitrous oxide in the air we exhale makes up to 0.1 per cent of the UK's greenhouse gas emissions, scientists say. 

And that's not even accounting for the gas we release from burps and farts, or emissions that come from our skin without us noticing.

Perhaps if there are so many of us breathing we’d better have a cull!
