So many people feel comfortable operating in information ghettos. They only engage with like-minded individuals, they lose the opportunity to challenge their beliefs and grow intellectually- they surround themselves with others who share their views and exclude those who do not. Over time, this isolation fuels polarization, where the divide between groups becomes so extreme that compromise and dialogue feel impossible. Society suffers when these divisions deepen, as it becomes harder to address shared problems or find common ground. There is always more to learn.
